That’s where Short Escapes for Meetings comes in! We offer businesses the opportunity to give their corporate meetings and events an “experiential” twist that helps foster better learning, retention, team-building, and engagement.

Hundreds of destinations and small towns across the U.S. and in other countries have for years been focused on attracting individuals and families – primarily people located in nearby big cities – to their environs to enjoy a brief getaway and take in the local history, scenery, and leisure activities they offer. Now we are helping them capture corporate meetings and events as well.

As with our Short Escapes for travelers, each Short Escapes for Meetings destination offers its own distinctive character, flavor, and points of historical, cultural, or natural interest. Each includes a list of meeting and event space for various sized groups, as well as a local tour or team-building component – walking, biking, sailing, kayaking, hiking, etc. All are an easy daytrip from a metropolitan area but can be extended into weekend trips or longer. Also included is information about the history or nature you will encounter on your walk, as well as listings of recommended places to visit, lodgings, restaurants, shops, local businesses, and other nearby attractions.
