Appleton Museum of Art

The 81,610-square-foot museum at the College of Central Florida contains 30,000 square feet of gallery space. There's also a newer wing with a two-story, 4,000-square-foot exhibition space and an art library. The museum's permanent collection includes about 16,000 objects, including American, European, Asian and African art and artifacts, and a collection of works by Florida artists. Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing

This museum and hall of fame in two large buildings contains nearly 300 cars in all shapes and sizes. Besides a large collection of Fords, there are muscle cars, vintage autos, dragsters, funny cars and motorcycles. Admission for adults is $20; private tours with Don Garlits can be booked for $200 for one person or $400 for up to 10 people.
