Each Escape is rated on a scale of 1-20, with 20 being the best, based on a number of categories in comparison with other Escapes in the region and in the context of other wonderful Escapes in other parts of the country or world. Needless to say, this is no easy task. Ratings are based on our view of these Escapes, as well as future input we hope to receive from readers who visit these Escapes (See Share an Escape). Ratings are designed to help you assess the relative reason to visit one Escape over another, and not to definitively say one Escape is better than another. That is for you to decide based on your own tastes, interests, location, and timeframe, etc.
